Dear Colleagues,

Kindly accept our invitation to participate in the 1st International Congress on Pediatric Oncology and Hematology on June 5-7, 2024 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, organized by the Center for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Clinical Immunology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. We are honored and delighted to bring together a diverse community of professionals, researchers, clinicians, and advocates dedicated to advancing the field of pediatric oncology.

This congress is aimed to enhance our understanding, treatment methodologies, and overall care for the brave young souls facing the challenges of cancer and hematologic disorders. This congress serves as a vital platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experiences that will shape the future of pediatric oncology and hematology.

There is a need for appropriate communication strategies to pass scientific and political messages to society. Media have a key role in disseminating messages to inform populations, to increase public risk perception, to educate people in general, and to target groups to have a better understanding of the symptomatology of pediatric cancers to ensure early presentation to the hospital. Supporting campaigns and creating conditions to facilitate behavioral change is essential, but it should be combined with collective measures.

Multi-sectoral Approach

Cancer and NCDs, in general, are found in all types of economic sectors and activities, therefore important to establish a multi-sectoral approach and partnerships to ensure better cancer care for the pediatric population. Governments and NGOs are best positioned to change the situation, and governments should support activities directed to support pediatric cancer care to help the child have a better quality of life.
